Healthy Heaven: Greek Yogurt Dill Dip

Today we had a delightlful afternoon tea party in my office and for it I brought lemon green tea and made ‘deconstructed’ tea sandwiches. I was originally going to make traditional tea sandwiches then it hit me, does anyone even like those things? My next thought was that it would still be nice to provide something with the same flavor profile but make it less labor intensive for me as well as healthy. I decided that crackers, cucumber slices and a tasty dill dip would be appropriate to get the point I was trying to make across. Then I got to thinking... what are some of the health benefits to using dill in the first place?

For starters dill has been linked to decreasing carcinogens in the body (similar to parsley), specifically with smoke pollutants. It has a notable amount of calcium to help with bone strength, properties that prevent bacterial growth and support immune health, and has large impacts on digestion regulation as well. Not to mention it is extremely flavorful for a pretty low measure of calories. The dip was a hit and people even took recipe cards I provided; for me that's a definite success and I wanted to share this little nibble.
